Embracing online worship in Houston

Embracing online worship in Houston

At James Dixon Ministries, we thank God for our dedicated members and our position to lead you and our congregation, through not only the good times but also the challenging times we share. As many of you know, coronavirus has disrupted our world, our communities, and our lives. Now more than ever it is important to put our faith in Christ and the protection of His word during these difficult and trying times. We ask our members to continue worshiping in their home as we come up with the most convenient and efficient system for bringing worship into your home.

In our strongest efforts to be thoughtful, compliant, and protect those among us who are most vulnerable to this virus, we will not be discontinuing our in-person ministry gatherings for now. This means we will not be meeting in our physical church this weekend, until further notice. At this time we are working to bring worship into your home, so please continue to check-in for more details about online worship options.

In our coming days, we are dedicated to monitoring the current Coronavirus situation as closely as possible. We will continue to provide our members with updates and all new opportunities for online ministry and worship. While we navigate this difficult time, we encourage all of our members to:

Pray: Pray for your family, for your community, and for the world. Some countries and groups of people have been more directly impacted and affected by this illness. Our communities need prayer as much now as ever. Please keep your faith strong and continue inspiring others with your love of Christ. Pray that God will help us find solutions to eliminate the spread of this virus and to protect those who are weak and most vulnerable.

Reach Out To Your Neighbor: While social distancing is vital in stopping further spread of this illness, there are many ways in which you can still reach out to those around you. Pick up your phone or send a message online to your family, friends, and neighbors. Especially those who are most at risk, such as the elderly and ill.

Prepare To Help: Once we are able to resume normal socializing again, there will be many needs in our community. Not only is this illness devastating to our vulnerable members, it also will have a massive economic impact. We call on our members to give their time and efforts to help our community recover in the coming weeks.

James Dixon Ministries thanks you for your unwavering faith, service, and support. We are stronger because of you and look forward to finding new ways to reach you in this trying time.

James Dixon Ministries cares for you and your family. We look forward to resuming regular ministry gatherings as soon as we can. God bless.
