Bishop James Dixon II Presents a Free Christmas Concert
Featuring Kirk Whalum and Friends
Providing Coats For Houston’s Impoverished Children and Underprivileged Families

HOUSTON, TEXAS….. Bishop James Dixon II of The Community Of Faith Church presents a Christmas Concert with a cause. It’s the Gospel According To Jazz Christmas Concert, featuring Grammy Winning Saxophonist, Kirk Whalum, and Friends. The event benefits Coats of Compassion Project through which thousands of coats are provided for some of Houston’s most impoverished children and homeless adults.
The Coats of Compassion Christmas Project has donated thousands of winter coats for Houston’s less fortunate citizens. Concert attendees are asked to bring new or slightly used children’s winter coats of all sizes or a monetary donation. All collected coats are delivered to children in need. The Concert begins at 6:00 PM, (doors open 5:15 PM) at The Community Of Faith Church, 1024 Pinemont Drive, Houston, TX, 77091.
Grammy Award-Winning recording artist Kurt Whalum leads the Christmas Concert titled; “Gospel According to Jazz Christmas”, with special friends; Maysa, Adam Hawley, John Stoddart, and Kevin Whalum. Event sponsors; HEB, Famed Entertainment Attorney and Philanthropist Ricky Anderson, 90.9FM KTSU General Manager Ernest Walker and Houston Jeweler Kaylinn Harr encourage the public to join them in support of the Coats of Compassion Project and to give generously.
